![]() Yavapai County Deputies searching for missing Chandler man Yavapai County Sheriff’s Deputies are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing man from Chandler. James Allen Martinson, 37, last spoke to his family in mid March on the telephone in Flagstaff, where he works Monday through Friday. His family expected him to arrive at his Chandler home Friday, March 21 but he never arrived. While trying to locate Martinson on Saturday his family discovered his car on the southbound I17 at the Stoneman Lake exit. Martinson’s dark green Nissan Pathfinder contained some of personal property including his wallet and cell phone. He’s described as a white man, 5’06”, 165 pounds, green eyes, brown hair, and usually wears a watch with a black band and a wedding band that is set with four diamonds. Investigators say Martinson should have short hair and a light goatee. He often wears polo shirts, jeans and either tennis shoes or sandals. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of James Martinson is asked to call the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office at (928) 771-3260 or Yavapai Silent Witness at (800) 932-3232. http://www.abc15.com/news/local/stor...9-83e8846852b2 |

The search continues for a Chandler man who vanished last week, apparently while driving home from Flagstaff, authorities said Wednesday.
On Saturday, the vehicle of James Allen Martinson, 37, was discovered off Interstate 17 at the Stoneman Lake exit about 17 miles north of Camp Verde, said Dwight D'Evelyn, a spokesman for the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office. The vehicle, a dark green Nissan Pathfinder with Arizona plates, contained some of Martinson's personal property, including his wallet and cell phone, D'Evelyn said. "A search of the area provided no clues as to his location," D'Evelyn said. Sheriff's deputies returned to the area Monday with special tracking dogs, a helicopter and search teams, but found no sign of Martinson, he added. Investigators have done a thorough scientific search of the vehicle, but have discovered nothing to explain his disappearance, D'Evelyn said. Martinson works in Flagstaff on a Monday through Friday employment schedule and had been expected home last Friday night, D'Evelyn said. Deputies have asked for public help in finding Martinson. To offer information, phone the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office at 928-771-3260. http://www.azcentral.com/community/c...ng0326-ON.html |

EV woman wants answers after husband disappears Gary Grado, Tribune Brandy Martinson burst out laughing Wednesday at a gag on a television show. Then she cried, feeling guilty that she would find something funny while her husband of four years, James Martinson of Chandler, is missing. Chandler man missing in Yavapai County His unlocked car and some of his belongings, including his wallet, cell phone and computer, were found Saturday on southbound Interstate 17 at the Stoneman Lake exit. The car was about 36 miles south of Flagstaff, where he worked for Wells Fargo and lived during the week. "It's just nerve-racking, just waiting," Martinson said as she sat on a bench outside the front door of her Chandler home. Brandy Martinson last spoke with her husband March 20 around 6:45 p.m. She was expecting him back on Friday between noon and 2 p.m., which was his habit. When he hadn't come home by 3 p.m., she sent him a text message that read: "Hi, are you lost?" His phone would ring without rolling over to voice mail. At first, she thought maybe he had stopped to rest because he often suffered from vertigo. But when he still hadn't shown up, Brandy and her parents drove to Flagstaff and checked the house where he stayed and the hospitals. They were returning to the Valley when they found his car, a dark green Nissan Pathfinder, at the Stoneman Lake exit. An abandoned vehicle tag had been placed on it at 2 p.m. Friday. She said investigators with the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office found a receipt from a Flagstaff store that had been time-stamped early Friday. Dwight D'Evelyn, Yavapai County sheriff's spokesman, said the office conducted a search using tracker dogs, a helicopter and a Forest Patrol search team Sunday and Monday, but came up with nothing. Investigators also searched James Martinson's car but found nothing to establish or explain his disappearance, D'Evelyn said. James Martinson moved to Arizona in 2000 from South Dakota. The Martinsons met when he interviewed Brandy for a job at a financial company. "We actually were dating and married within a year," said Brandy Martinson, who described her husband as quiet and shy. For now, she feels helpless not knowing what happened. "I still have the hope he's just going to walk through the door," she said. Anyone with information on James Martinson's whereabouts is asked to call the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office at (928) 771-3260 or Yavapai Silent Witness at (800) 932-3232. http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/112277 |

Wife of missing Chandler man worried, sad
Kendall Wright The Arizona Republic Mar. 27, 2008 01:28 PM The Friday before Easter Brandy Martinson waited for her husband to come home to Chandler from his weekday job in Flagstaff. He never showed up, and she's still waiting. James Martinson, 37, has been missing since his green Nissan Pathfinder was found Saturday off Interstate 17 at the Stoneman Lake, exit about 17 miles north of Camp Verde, said Dwight D'Evelyn, a spokesman for the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office. Authorities have been searching for him since, including with helicopters and dogs, but so far have few clues. "He was so excited to come home for Easter dinner," Brandy Martinson said Thursday. "When he didn't answer my calls or texts I just kept hoping he had gotten lost." She said her initial reaction was that her husband, who she said suffers from vertigo, may have pulled off the road to lie down for a while because he felt sick from the change in altitude traveling south. As time ticked on, she said she and her parents decided to drive to Flagstaff to check the cabin where Martinson stayed during the week, as well as the hospitals. They finally spotted his vehicle on the way home. Martinson's SUV was unlocked with his keys, cell phone, and wallet still inside, but no sign of Martinson. "He's not the kind of guy who would have pulled over to go for a hike," she said. "He likes to watch sports; the most outdoorsy he gets is maybe riding his bike around the block." Brandy said since her husband's disappearance she has gone through a variety of emotional stages - angry, worried, and sad - but not depressed. She said she has not given up hope enough to become depressed. "Every time I come home or there is a knock on the door, my first thought is that it's him," she said. "I'm just expecting him to walk through that door and everything's going to be OK again." http://www.azcentral.com/community/c...pdate0328.html |

I thank you for all of your prayers in this time. I have relayed them to his wife Brandy as well as some close friends of James. There is no words to express the emptyness and fear that one holds in a time like this, tons of questions and no answers. I pray for all the others that I have read about on this website that there too may be closure with their lost loved ones and justice for those whom had their life taken by the criminals that comb the streets all across the world. I pray too for their families & pray for hope in the ones not found. Thank you for your caring words and may God too bless you all as well.
