Thumbs up Jay Miller, 22 MSG [FOUND SAFE] since 11-11-07 from Howell, MI

Mother looking for help in finding missing 22-year-old

A frantic Howell-area mother is asking for the public’s help in locating her missing son.

Tracy Miller-Duke said her 22-year-old son, Jay Miller, left her home about 8 p.m. Nov. 11 with a “love you, Mom,” to visit a friend and play videogames. He has not returned home.

A tip early Monday morning last placed him near Hometown Howell, formerly known Chateau Estates.

Miller-Duke said her son does not have a history of running away and he has no known medical conditions that would cause disorientation.

“It’s terrifying, especially with the stories you hear on the news,” she said about her son’s disappearance. “It’s just bizarre.”

Miller is a while male, about 5 feet 11 inches and weighs about 220 pounds. He has dark brown hair and hazel eyes. His mother says he may have some facial hair, although not a full beard, because he has not been home to shave.

Miller was last seen wearing black coveralls.

I also noted a comment (appears to be a reply) dated November 22 from what appears to be a friend and a comment deleted (post 11-8-2007?).

There is little doubt in my mind. I will contact the authorities tomorrow. If they do not want to pursue it I will call his mother who is listed as a contact on the missing person's flyer.

Son reported missing, but turns up safely
By Lisa Roose-Church
DAILY PRESS & ARGUS

A frantic Howell-area mother's plea to the public to help locate her missing son was heard.

Tracy Miller-Duke said her 22-year-old son, Jay Miller, left her home about 8 p.m. Dec. 11 with a "love you, Mom," to visit a friend and play video games. He was missing until Monday afternoon, when he called to tell her he was visiting a friend in the Hometown Howell park, formerly known as Chateau Estates.

"Thank you so much for posting him missing to help me, for everyone that has helped me," Miller-Duke said. "I cannot describe how thankful I am to them for helping bring my son home."

Miller-Duke said her son "didn't realize" he was gone so long.

"He was having fun," she said, noting that she was a little mad at him, but grateful he is now home.

Capt. John Kowalski of the Howell Police Department said police were notified Saturday that Miller was missing.

Miller-Duke said her son does not have a history of going
missing.

"It's terrifying, especially with the stories you hear on the news," she said about her son's disappearance. "It's just bizarre."

Maybe his MySpace activity just proves he wasn't trying to disappear. Sounds like just an inconsiderate, self-absorbed boy to me. How long was he really out of touch though. The thread title says missing since November 11, 2007, but quote from DAILY PRESS & ARGUS, says, "Tracy Miller-Duke said her 22-year-old son, Jay Miller, left her home about 8 p.m. Dec. 11 ..."[/QUOTE]

A couple of the media reports stated it was Nov. 11th but if you look at the flyer it states Dec. 12th. So you got me, I'm guessing now it was probably the latter.
