I wonder why they are waiting until Tuesday to do a search. I have a daughter named Elisha so this one immediately caught my attention.
I pray they find her, and that she is safe, and had just left on her own for a few days. |

UPDATE: Search "Inconclusive" for Missing Jackson Co. Woman
http://www.wkbt.com/global/story.asp...Type=Printable Posted: Nov 10, 2008 03:26 PM Updated: Nov 11, 2008 12:40 AM The family of a missing Jackson County woman needs your help to find her. Jackson County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Mark Moen says 27-year-old Alisha Sidie (Rowley) was last seen November 7 in the area of Hatfield in Jackson County between 9:00pm and 10:00pm. Her family reported her missing Saturday evening. Sidie is described as 5'4" tall, abougt 125 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information on Sidie is encouraged to contact the Jackson County Sheriff's Department at 715-284-5357. Family says Alisha was wearing light blue scrubs and a long-sleeved white t-shirt. Search dogs picked up Alisha's scent Monday afternoon, but the search has turned up nothing so far. Gundersen Lutheran's MedLINK helicopter is assisting in the search as well. Search crews were also using boats to search areas along Lake Arbutus and the Black River Sheriff Duane Waldera says the search will continue until nightfall Monday, and will continue Tuesday if needed. Alisha's husband, Doug, says his wife returned home Friday night from work. Doug Sidie says the two had an argument and Alisha left. Alisha's sister Tracy says Alisha works at the Black River Chiropractic Clinic and the Sunset Tavern on Old Highway 54 east of Hatfield. Tracy says this is out of the ordinary for her big sister, who is the oldest of three sisters. Tracy says Alisha has twin sons, who are two-years-old, and would have taken them with had she left for somewhere. Tracy describes her big sister as "outgoing" and "fun to be around." Jackson County Sheriff's Department investigators say they have not had any previous calls to the Sidie residence. NewsChannel 8 has a crew in Jackson County covering this story, and will have more tonight during the 5:00 and 6:00pm newscasts. Oh Dear. Not another husband/wife argument!!

27-year-old Woman Missing in Jackson County
http://www.weau.com/home/headlines/34183854.html Posted: 10:34 PM Nov 9, 2008 Last Updated: 11:19 PM Nov 10, 2008 Reporter: Kelly Schlicht and Mary Rinzel Email Address: kelly.schlicht@weau.com, mary.rinzel@weau.com, news@weau.com UPDATED MONDAY, 11/10 AT 10 P.M. The search for a missing mother is on hold Monday night after hours of combing the hills and forests of Jackson County. Dozens of people searched for the 27-year-old who was last seen Friday night. "My mama... My mama,” one of Alisha Sidie’s two-year-old twin boys asks for his mama. His father tries to comfort the toddler, “Yeah, that's your mama, buddy," Doug Sidie tells him. Doug Sidie cuddled his two two-year-olds on a cold Monday morning, before leaving the little ones to search for their mother. "She's young. She's fun-loving. She's a good mother. She's great with the kids," he says. But now, the 27-year-old is missing; her friends and family scoured the woods near the Hatfield home she shared with her ex-husband. "A lot of good friends have gotten together and gotten fliers out,” Doug Sidie tells us. “She has a lot of good family and friends." Doug Sidie says Alisha came home Friday night around nine o'clock and they had an argument. He says that's when Alisha left. When his ex-wife still wasn't home Saturday afternoon, Sidie called the sheriff's department. "We've had our canine unit out once before. (Monday,) we have it out again to see if we can narrow down the area where she walked from the house and base our search for Alisha in those areas," says Jackson County Sheriff Duane Waldera. Sheriff Waldera says investigators are looking into a number of leads, including Alisha's cell phone records. One of Alisha's friends tells WEAU 13 News that Alisha left her a voice-mail panicked and asking for help. That’s something the sheriff wouldn't confirm. "All we know is she walked away on Friday night and it's now Monday morning and we haven't come across her,” Waldera says. “I don't have any information saying that she's not alive. We're hoping for the best and there are a lot of people praying for a safe return." A return to the people left hugging and hoping that their prayers are answered. "We just want her to come home. Whatever happened, we just want her to come home,” Doug Sidie says, still hugging his boys and holding a picture of their mother. Alisha Sidie has brown hair and brown eyes. She's 5’4 and approximately 125 pounds. Her friends say she was last seen wearing light blue scrubs and a long-sleeved white T-shirt. If you have any information about this missing person’s case, call the Jackson County sheriff's department at 715-284-5357. ---------------------- UPDATED MONDAY, 11/10 AT 6 P.M. Alisha Sidie’s two-year-old twin boys point to a picture of their mother, as their father Doug Sidie holds them close Monday morning. "I hope she comes home,” says Sidie, Alisha’s ex-husband. While holding onto his sons, he also holds out hope for finding Alisha, who has been missing since Friday night around 9pm. "She brought the boys home. There was a short argument between us two, and then she left on foot,” recalls Sidie. “That’s all I know, for now.” Around 9:19pm, one of Alisha’s friends say she received a voice-mail from Alisha, frantic and asking for help. However, the Jackson County Sheriff would not say whether the call was panicked. "We do know she made a couple of phone calls right there after 9 o'clock,” says Sheriff Duane Waldera. “As to what was in the phone calls, I do not know." Right now, the Jackson County Sheriffs Department and Sidie's family and friends are concentrating their search around Hatfield, within walking distance of her home. More than 50 people showed up to help on Monday, first signing up at the Hatfield Fire Department and then congregating at The Mug tavern. The first group of 25 family and friends headed out to search the woods near the East Arbutus County Park, off of County Highway K. Canine units had heavily searched the area between County Highway K, Clay School Road, nearby railroad tracks and a river. Luther Midlefort’s Medlink helicopter also surveyed the area from the skies, looking for any signs of Alisha. "I do not have any information that would say that she’s not alive,” says Sheriff Waldera. Though the search parties will stop at nightfall, her family and friends vow to keep looking until she’s found. "We just want her to come home,” pleads Doug Sidie. “Whatever happened we just want her to come home." As of 10 p.m. Monday, there have not been any signs of Alisha Sidie. Sheriff Waldera says he's treating this as a missing person’s case. So far, he says he doesn't have any reason to suspect foul play. ---------------------------- ORIGINAL STORY FROM SUNDAY 11/9 The Jackson County Sheriff's Department and friends and family of a missing woman are asking for your help.
